:Hello to everyone reading this, I am located in Madison, OHIO 44057 (Ohio's largest township) directly on the shores of lake erie.(64 miles west of Erie,PA and 40 miles east of Cleveland,OH)
I Have been involved with radio for over 15 years,I started off with cb radio at first(mainly talking on ssb), but with the help of some old timers (now silent key's) They pointed me in the right direction. One of them was kind enough to give me employment in their two-way communications shop,so I learned alot about radios (old and new) and of course, repairing radios too. I've seen alot of changes over the years,not just with technology, but with how the trend of radio is going. Getting to the point, I've always been interested in amateur radio and antenna's along with other two-way communication technology.
I don't really have much for radio equipment at the present time, except for an yaesu ft-840 and a 10-12 meter antenna. For the lower frequencies I am currently using a piece of wire to listen(15 foot copper wire going to a 80 foot hand wound coil and then back to another 10 feet of wire...it was fun making that) LOL I'm still trying to figure out how I can put up a full sized long wire outside for 80-10 meters with limited space.(Not much you can do when you don't have a yard and neighbors very close by!)
