:I am 54 years old and have been licensed since 1965. I have been off the air for a very long time but I am now quite active and operate mainly CW from home, and from the car as static mobile I also enjoy /p on the hills around the UK more recently for summits of the air SOTA see www.sota.org.uk . My home rig is the Kenwood TS570 and for portable and static mobile I use the Yaesu FT817. I have recently started playing with digital modes, mainly PSK31. I am a member of FISTS nr 7797 CC 1228 and G-QRP nr 10880. I am also a member of the flying pigs #306 a fun qrp club with no rules. My home QTH WAB is TQ09 HFD and grid square IO91sp. My other interests are Chess, I play for Watford Chess Club. I am also doing an Open University degree in Maths. I am an RF design engineer |
